Whats Trending ..?

Recently on a Trip to Sydney for 4 days I found myself lost in the world of people watching whilst I sipped back a cocktail or two OK maybe even three.
 

I had fun analyzing and taking mental notes on how the locals were dressed from top to toe. Normally the first thing I notice about someone is their makeup obviously i have this instinct being a makeup artist but this time I was instantly attracted to their fashion.Every second person had atleast a touch of

neon tones splashed through their outfit. I love the way the corporate woman  were all sporting bright pops of turquoise and fuchsia pink on their tootsies whilst still keeping to the business attire of monochrome black and white that we all know so well.
 

Then there were the uni students which was perfect as Victoria university was right opposite my apartment at the Meriton on Kent street Sydney. I found it seemed the vintage style of floral and pastels were fading away and the neon was there with a vengeance with this crowd. I noticed straight away alot of skin which saw a  lot of Crop tops in bright neon orange watermelon pink and neon yellow tones  paired with a pair of leather look high waisted shorts which was obviously a popular choice within this crowd with their satchels slung to the side and vintage framed Karen walker replica sunnies rocked on the tips of their noses. Lace is still huge with skorts being another fad that seems to be sticking around for the summer.

How does this excite me for the makeup aspect simple I LOVE COLOUR!! A look is not complete without a pop of colour in my world whether it be on your face or splashed among your daily clothing attire. I feel colour makes me feel so happy , excited and amping for the hot summer days to come. My mood is instantly lifted on a dull rainy day if i'm sporting a lil candy yum yum on my pout to lift that drab work outfit.

So my advice to you although daunting to those who prefer a nude try some colour! Do it i bet you will never ever look back! A bright lippy is the perfect option to dress up or break up the harshness of a black outfit  , Coloured  liner is great if your wearing a patterned print that you feel bright lips may not suit or be too overbearing with  , and accessories are just hands down the best way to funk up your outfit from top to toe!  I have a neon pink side bag that i love to bring out when i'm wearing white or black on a night out its amazing how you can create a whole other  look just by adding colour it really can change your whole appearance.
