So for those of you who haven't yet experienced the wonders of having a highlighting product in your life let me give you a little briefing. Highlighting products come in cream, powder and liquid forms! This means a little bit of shiny goodness to suit everyone's preference ,climate and convenience !
This is my limited edition YSL palette pink celebration highlight powder. I love this on a fair complexion.
Highlighting brings forward the features you want to bring attention to the most. I like to personally apply mine where the light would naturally hit, this way it looks luminous and natural. I do this by using a powder product above my lip by the cupids bow.
This MAC Archie's Girls number was also limited edition but is the perfect two in one!!The highlight tone I find very similar to MAC light scapade.
This instantly defines your lip shape and brings fullness to your pout.On the face I like to lightly dust a little product under or slightly above my cheekbone and a little on the temple with a duo fibre or small fan brush. This allows for a light swept finish.

A little on the inner corners of the eyes and just under the brow bone will surely make those eyes pop. This especially looks stunning with neutral tones as it compliments them nicely ..
A little word of warning for applying under your brow bone , if your brows are due for a makeover do not go overboard with any highlighting products as it will make those stray hairs stand out like a sore thumb!

Some ladies also like to highlight their décolletage (neck area) and pop a little at the edge of their dark circles around the eye. This will help to counteract the darkness and reflect the light. By doing any of the above you are highlighting your bone structure bringing instant definition to any look you are wanting to achieve.

When it comes to cream and liquid highlights I prefer a liquid. This is because I can mix in with my moisturiser or primer while preparing the skin providing a healthy looking glow. In the summer months where I have more colour to my tone strobe lotion in golden elixir is my best friend. A product like the golden elixir is great if you are in between shades!
I like to have Strobe cream by MAC in the travel size in my kit for convenience.
