♥ It Cosmetics Review ♥

Ashley here, Long time no talk I have been so busy lately, reviewing cosmetics for this Blog is such a hard job ;) So I’ve been hearing a lot of rave about the brand It Cosmetics lately and after travelling to my local ULTA Beauty, I noticed that they had a little “Try It Cosmetics Kit. For $19USD I just had to grab one for myself to see what the hype was all about.

Hello Lashes Mascara

The first item I tried from the kit was the “Hello Lashes 5 in 1 Mascara.” My first impression was that it had cute packaging with a nice soft squishy padding covering the handle. The brush is nice and thin with makes it easy to create volume and length. 

It has a weird tip on the end of it where a lot of the mascara accumulates which I'm guessing is so you can be bold and apply more heavily if needed, but if this isn't your desire be sure to wipe it off before you apply, otherwise you’ll have mascara all over your nose! 

The formula is perfect, not too wet and just the right amount of “plushness” to keep your lashes from getting hard and tacky. Overall, I liked the volume it gave and it made my lashes look beautiful and naturally pretty! I wouldn't go for this mascara for a  full dramatic look but it may just be my new daily go to!

Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Ageing Concealer

 “Bye Bye Under Eye” concealer in the shade “Neutral Medium" was up next. This concealer is exactly what it says- FULL COVERAGE. It is slightly hard to work with because it is a very thick formula but OH MY does it cover EVERYTHING! 

I would recommend doing one eye at a time and blending out with a damp Beauty Blender to keep it from looking heavy or cakey, but if you can apply this correctly you get a beautiful finish and a flawless under eye! I noticed no creasing when I set it with my E.l.f Under Eye HD Setting Powder, and I would definitely use this again! 

Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil

The last item in the try it kit was their “Universal Brow Pencil.” At first, I was skeptical- how could a brow pencil be universal when there are so many different shades of eyebrows? It Cosmetics proved it can be done and this brow pencil is a win in my books. 

A nice neutral taupe-ish shade, this pencil will really suit any eyebrow shade depending on how heavy you apply. Light application will suit blondes, red heads, and even those with grey hair. It gives a beautiful finish and is slightly tacky which keeps brow hairs in place. For darker haired beauties a heavier application with the pencil  will make for  a dark brown or black shade which is just amazing! 

This double ended pencil comes with a brow comb on the end to help brush brows into place. I am in love with this product- it’s great for a quick brow pick me up when you’re on the go or even for your daily brows!

Bye Bye Redness Correcting Cream

After watching some reviews on the Bye Bye Redness Correcting Cream, I had to give it a go as well so I picked it up for $32 USD at my local ULTA Beauty.  I have to say that this product is definitely worth every penny. As someone who suffers with a lot of redness, I am constantly looking for a foundation that will help keep that redness at bay while not looking cakey or unnatural so for this reason this is now my new holy grail.

 Only coming in one shade, this product can be used under foundation or as foundation for those who match the shade. Since mostly lighter skin tones deal with redness, this shade is pretty universal and even for a pale girl like me, it matched me perfectly when blended in. It is definitely full coverage so I wouldn’t dare try to wear it under foundation unless used very sparingly. 

If you’re on the edge about trying this product, go for it, I promise you won’t be let down! Redness is something many women struggle with and for a product to cover it so flawlessly, I am so surprised and elated!

It Cosmetics is an up and coming brand that you all should definitely watch out for and try out! All of the products I tried were amazing and I would repurchase all of them in a heart beat. I can’t wait to make my next It Cosmetics purchase- what should I try!? Let me know below!
