♥ Q&A With Revitalash Queen Annemarie ♥

 

When I was approached by Annemarie from Revitalash here in New Zealand to try the product, I was just about bouncing off the walls with excitement. For years I have longed to have luscious lashes that I can call my own, but with lash extensions or strip lashes being the option that majority went for back then, I didn't even think about trying to find a serum to help my own.

Since trying this product I am officially in love, my lashes took a while to grow at the start but now I can definitely see a difference in length and the overall condition of them.For those of you who do wear lash extensions, you NEED Revitalash in you life. It will nourish your lashes keeping them looking on form everyday. I even find this serum aids the application of my mascara, as now it tends to glide on alot easier BONUS!

So Annemarie, with your busy schedule what does a day in your shoes entail?

70% of my days are spent in the office but the other 30% is travelling around New Zealand  meeting new and existing stockists, attending expo’s or conferences etc. I live 45minutes away from the airport – 4am starts are common. 

Usually I travel with either Sylvie or Kelly – It is full on last week Sylvie and I saw 20 Salons in one and a half days. I also look after other brands within the company – so some days can be dealing with doctors, nurses, beauty salons, hairdressers you name it!  

My day also involves updating the Revitalash Facebook page and Instagram – I’m a very busy lady!

How did you land such an amazing role with a company taking the lash world by a storm?

I have known the team at Medtel since I was 12 back when it was a Medical only company – My Mum was/is in charge of Logistics. The company expanded into distributing to appearance medicine clinics and beauty clinics I used to be the guinea pig for the new Laser & IPL machines they brought in and was fascinated learning how they worked and all about the skin! 

This lead me to study beauty therapy – in the back of my mind I dreamed of having “a job like that” but I never imagined it would come true. I helped out at the NZ Beauty Expo in 2011 on the Revitalash stand and fell in love with the product. When the position became available for a junior sales role with Medtel I was first in line to apply! 

What do you love most about your job?

Everything apart from 4am starts! I love that no two days are ever the same! I get really excited when people use Revitalash for the first time and they start to see improvements. I like hearing feedback on our Facebook page from fans, and I love representing a product that exceeds everyone’s expectations – it actually does what it says it will do – plus more!

On days I am working from 4am – 9pm I need a foundation that lasts all day!! You recently introduced me to Stila Stay All Day Foundation and it is TOP of my Holy grail list!!! LOVE!!! Thank you Stacey!!!

 I'm also loving the Benefit Stay Flawless primer.

Revitalash ofcourse – cheesey but true! I Use it on my top lashes, bottom lashes and brows!! I am still a lover of lash extensions and get mine done by Ashley Allen.

Other faves are Stila Kitten Hightlighter, Revitalash Volumising Primer & Mascara, Mac Lippies, Elf Brow Kit and my MyBody Skincare Kit for keeping my oily skin under control.

And last but not least do you have any beauty secrets to share with us before we let you get back to your busy little world?

I always hear girls struggling to apply strip lashes - I used to be one of them until one of the girls at MAC told me to look down into a mirror rather than straight into the mirror - makes applying falsies SO MUCH EASIER!!

Another tip is to treat your skin with care! It amazes me how many people scrub their faces daily with harsh exfoliants or those exfoliating gloves - these strip the skin of it's protective barrier - if you do that everyday you will age faster. Follow a simple routine using A gentle cleanser morning/night plus moisturiser and exfoliate 1-2 times a week.

The most important thing of all WEAR SUNSCREEN with good UVA protection everyday!! UVA rays are out 365 days a year and although you do not see the effects of UVA immediately it is constantly damaging your cells.
