Soap and Glory – A Drugstore brand taking the UK by storm one pretty packaged item at a time.
I am super excited for today’s post as it is in collaboration with my babe face friend Shaaanxo!
Shan and I have been meaning to have this up for a while now but with Shannon off Jet Setting around the world it became a little impossible (tough life right). Now that Shan’s feet are back on the ground here in NZ we decided to get on with it, because let’s be honest these products are way to good not to mention.
Soap and Glory is well known amongst beauty lovers all over the world, with an extensive range of bath and body products it only seems to fitting to have a beauty line to match. Although Soap and Glory isn't available within NZ yet I am hopeful that we will see it gracing our shelves within the near future. The Cosmetic range is packed full of the essentials from Mascara to lipstick and all things in between, and from what I have tried so far I am more than impressed.
Shannon and I purchased our Soap and Glory products from Boots a Department Store in the UK, we then used “You Shop” a parcel forwarding company that is within the NZ Post Umbrella to get the products from the UK to us here in NZ. I can report no products were broken during transit and I can highly recommend You Shop they are a fantastic service to use.
So if you want to see a little more of what we got then keep on scrollin or Click Here to see Shan's swatches ....
First up is the WonderBronze and Peach Party complexion products. These are fantastic dupes for the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick range. The WonderBronze in particular is super pretty, it provides a natural sun-kissed glow like no other, I also love that its not too warm making it great for those with pale skin too.
Peach Party in shade Apricot Jam is a really nice blush, in fact this shade is perfect for the Summer to come. (you can see how it looks in my image below). These appear quite shimmery looking within their packaging but if you buff them onto the skin it blends into the most radiant looking sheen.
Another product I must mention which I have lost somewhere within my collection before I came to write this post is the Archery Brow product, words cannot explain how easy this product is to achieve ultimate brow game. It's dual ended with one end being a pencil and the other a felt tip like end. I used the pen like end to gain precision and the pencil too fill, it really is as simple as that.
Solar Powder and Glow All Out, first of all if you love yourself a good highlighting product you need to get amongst Glow All Out, it's a soft peachy pink tone that reflects the light beautifully particularly when worn upon the cheekbone.
Solar Powder on the other hand is a mix of a light and medium matte bronzer. This is really nice to wear although I didn't find the product was as easy to pick up on my brush like the other products from this range have been.If your after a natural looking Bronzer then Solar Powder would be the perfect product for you.
Lid Stuff Quad in shade "What's Nude" These shadows are crazy pigmented especially for the price, and I can't forget to mention how well they stay put that's right no creasing from these babies! These tones are great for wearing daily, you can wear each one alone or mix them up a little to create a killer look for day or night. ( I will show you swatches of these in an upcoming post )
Kick Ass Concealer in shade Medium, When it came to this product I had read many reviews so I just had to get in on the action. The medium is a little dark for me but i think coming into the Summer time it will be just perfect. You need to ensure you set this product as it is super creamy but it does a pretty good job at making those bags under the eyes disappear. I haven't tried this on any blemishes yet, but just by its hydrating texture I think it would be great.
Super Colour Fabu Lipstick in shade Pom Pom, I really love this feel of this lipstick, it glides on like a dream, has high colour pay off from the first swipe and is really nice to wear. Being a lipstick addict I will be picking up a few of the other shades to try for sure.
Overall I was pretty impressed by the Soap and Glory products,so if you want high quality for Drugstore prices then look no further, speaking of which I have a little GIVEAWAY for you also YAY!
