Breast Cancer is a deadly disease that no doubt each of us has been effected by in some way. I believe the way to beat any form of Cancer is through education.I myself have lost both my Grandparents within the last 3 years to the horrid disease that Cancer is and since then I have changed my whole outlook on life.
Getting to know the way your body works and feels is such an important thing, especially as females. That feeling of not trusting when something isn't quite right or the "I don't need to go to the doctors" line can be a mistake that's dismissed a little too easily.
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month it's time to bring all your sisters together (yes im talking about your boobs and your gal pals) and get involved where you can, whether it's doing a little fundraising, or simply supporting the sale of products that are donating a portion of the sale back to this well deserving charity.
One product I love the campaign of is the Skinfood Breast Cream where $2 from every sale of this goes back into the foundation. Created from a partnership that's full of empowerment towards Woman, and introducing a smarter beauty routine that could literally save your life. There isn't any magical fairy dust within this product, it is simply designed to moisturise and nourish your skin, but with a backing message that really does stick within the mind.

From the age of 20 years old it is vital for all Woman to acknowledge what their "normal" is.While things like mammograms are the best way to detect breast cancer early, it's important for all woman to create a daily routine that helps to make you just that little more aware of your body, then if something seems to change you can act on this straight away. With Summer coming it's so easy to add this little extra nourishment in whilst carrying out your daily moisturising routine.
As well as getting behind the sale of this product, I will be taking part in the Pink Star Walk with the Estee Lauder Companies team here in Christchurch on the 18th of October. Every little bit counts when it comes to supporting these foundations and I am more than happy to help out where I can.
It's important to always remember there is always someone out there who is less fortunate than you, participating in events like this is my way in giving back to those I feel so helpless towards.Plus if I get to dress my pout in all shades of pink I am more than down for that.
If you would like to come along and be apart of this please do not hesitate to be in contact or simply check out the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation website by clicking here
