Pop Rox Cosmetics & Lime Crime Review

Hi Beauties,

I just want to apologise first of all that there are no swatches on my lips I have been struck down with the Flu the last few days so my lips have dried out really badly and are currently undergoing a lucas pawpaw mixed with lip scrub treatment Lucky Them!!

So During my Black Friday Blow-out I purchased one of almost every colour that appealed to me of Pop Rox Cosmetics Range of Liquid Lipstix.I Purchased these from www.poproxcosmetix.com. They Were Half price which worked out to be $7.50 NZD after being converted so I figured why not just treat myself a little more. Oh My am I glad I did. They are super creamy, Amazingly pigmented and extremely easy to apply!

I Find that they don't dry my lips up at all compared to Australis Velour lips which starts to go flaky looking on me even with my MAC Prep + Prime Lip underneath after about 2 hours. I now stare clear of that product even though it's hard to part with their amazing colour range. The longevity of this product I was happy with although, I did notice a little smudging around the edges after a couple of hours this was an easy fix as I just went back in with a little product to touch up the areas of concern.

From Bottom to Top, Forbidden , XOXO, Mia , Trinket , Tango, Plastic Palace,Loubo.

This is to show the longevity of Pop Rox Liquid Lipstix in this photo I have washed my Arm with soap and warm water twice and then also used a makeup wipe.It ended up all coming off after I scrubbed hard with a Makeup wipe so for these types of products I would suggest investing in MAC Gently off lip and eye makeup remover

Pop Rox Cosmetics founded by the owner himself Kevin Turner has an array of beautifully coloured Cruelty free products for all walks of life. From the more daring who love themselves some neon pigments, to those who are more everyday wear colour conscious there truely is something for everyone and every part of the face that you can imagine which is amazing!. It was really refreshing for myself to try a new and upcoming brand as I am a sucker for sticking to my favourite brands which I'm sure a lot of you can relate to. Out of all the liquid lipstix in this range that I have tried so far Trinket and Tango are my favourites to be wearing for coming into our bright and sunny summer season.

I also Received the Lime Crime *New* Pink Velveteen from www.paganmarie.com, Wow this is such a beautiful Raspberry colour and a lot different to tones I'd usually wear. None the less When I wore it the first time I received so many compliments which made me feel like this was a colour I wanted to experiment with more!.

The texture of this product is very smooth to apply but I did find the brush/applicator to be quite wide on the ends therefore I used my lip brush to go back in and define my lip shape a little better. This lasted sooo long! Even through eating and drinking the staying power of this was unreal. Although it stayed on I feel like it sunk into the lines of my lips which I personally do not like the look of as they are already quite visible without product.I then applied my MAC Prep+Prime Lip underneath to see if this would help the issue.

Although the primer stopped the sinking into the lines scenario I still think I liked how Pop Rox seems a little more moisturising on the lips, especially coming into summer I think it's very important to keep moisture in the places we often forget about .In saying this I will always and forever still be a LC Devotee!!

Lime Crime Pink Velvet is on the left this is a comparison to Pop Rox Pink Palace Liquid Lipstick which is slightly more neon but oh so in!.

Overall I am happy with the performance of both products. They definitely do what they say they are going to and I think with products like these it is important to remember they will react differently on everyone. Be it you live in a warmer climate or are slightly more oily skinned you may find they move or slide more than someone who lives in a cooler temperature with dryer skin. The best thing to do is Try it out for yourself.I promise either way you will be happy with the colour pay off and overall result given by both brands.
