Ebay Brush Review

Here we are ladies I hope you enjoy my first impressions brush review!

When it comes to brushes I guess you could call me a little obsessed. With majority of my collection being MAC I became the biggest MAC fan after discovering their amazing quality 7 years ago. When I saw girls raving about these brushes on "Makeup Obsessives" I had to get me some to see what the fuss was all about.

For $22 Nzd I picked  for myself the 10 peice "silver" kabuki style brush set,In this set you receieve 5 "face brushes" and 5 Eye brushes. I must admit I was very sceptical at first as I'm very fussy when it comes to the brushes I use and their quality. I have to say I have now used them twice and I was blown away.

When the package arrived my first instinct was to wash these brushes,I do this with all my brushes but these had a slight chemically smell to them which you can sometimes get when buying a cheaper option. During the washing process I had my eyes peeled to spot those cheeky hairs that like to malt out of some "cheaper" made brushes. During the washing experience I had NO shedding of these brushes which for the price is impeccable!

In this set you recieve 5 face brushes although 4 only pictured as I had just used my Flat top :)

As they were drying I was worried they would loose their softness and shape, and I proceeded with my normal process of gently placing them in the correct shape and laying the brushes flat on a towel.

The reason I recommend laying your brushes flat is because if you stand them up ,when water gets into the base of your brushes this causes deterioration of the glue. The Glue is a main factor as it is what binds your handle to the rest of the brush keeping it all together nicely.

Once fully dry I was really happy with the shape and firmness kept within and decided to put them to the test! First up were the face brushes and they are amazing. Each and every one of them is super dense which is perfect when wanting to create a flawless base especially if your short for time.

My favourite face brush is the flat top this is a great dupe for Sigma's version. I think I will be finding my self use this a lot. With the mornings always a rush  I need something that gives me results and quickly.
All of these face brushes you can definitely use for applying  all your foundation and powder products.

I like using the angled face brush for when I'm contouring with a cream based product as it places accurately and smoothly. The other round ,tapered angled and  flat kabuki's would be my next favourites as they're a total multi purpose brush.

The eye brushes I find are all pretty similar being both flat and angled. One in particular being a lot more dense is the tapered angle eye brush. This is great to use when applying your crease colour. This is a good thing as anything that's fluffy and I can use for blending I'm a sucker for, so I will be seen using these again for the good results I had  that's for sure.

Although I will never be totally converted for the price these brushes are surely worth the purchase and i highly recommend for all. Great for beginners and the more experienced they really are a deal and your silly not to try them out for yourself.

When it comes to purchasing cheaper brushes that do the job the above brushes from Ebay are your go to's. I would even consider these to be better quality than my Real Techniques brushes that can sometimes be a little stiff  and unreliable when it comes to blending and being more precise with a product.

I Have also been using my new XO beauty Brushes which i have found highly comparable to my sigma sets but of course more affordable!BONUS!

I will also make note of how these wear over time and compare all sets (ebay, sigma, mac ,real techniques ) against each other in about 6 months :-)
I have had some of my MAC brushes for 6 years now and that's why I don't mind paying the price point so I am a tough one to please that's for sure.

If you have the chance to purchase MAC brushes I would still highly suggest getting yourself some. They are handmade and all have the purest hairs within them allowing your product to flow flawlessly to the desired area. I find they don't soak up a lot of product and the wide range of styles is beyond words.

If you have any question or want to share with me your favourite brushes please post below.

I hope this has given you some confidence in purchasing this set from Ebay they really are better quality than I personally ever imagined.
