Lately I have had a lot of messages from followers wanting to know where I buy my products from... my answer of course was if I told you I'd have to kill you..just joking! As most of you can tell I love a good haul or two okay maybe even 3 so I am more than happy to help my fellow makeup obsessed beauties out when it comes to purchasing some rad new products to make your life that little more colorful.
Basically any excuse for me to shop even if its not for myself you will find me there at the drop of the hat, just ask my bank account oops. Okay so you want to know where I find my goodies to be honest it's no hidden treasure I am addicted to buying massive amounts at any one given time in which I get a lot if not 95% of my products online.
Why do i choose to buy online? there's a wider variety, price is often cheaper when buying overseas and products are normally launched in the USA quite a few weeks before they hit our shores and lets be honest there is a huge amount of products we cannot gain access to in New Zealand with brands such as Urban Decay,Tarte,Too faced and Illamasqua not being sold in our market.
So Where do I go to when the world feels like its ending with that new amazonian blush from Tarte being released i head on over to the Tarte website itself or Sephora and add that beautiful thing to my cart. Now alot of places within America do not accept international cards so if that fails i have my travel card loaded for backup and if 'm still having issues that's when i call on ship it to and use their assisted shopping service.
With Sites like MAC,Beauty.com,Drugstore.com and Urban Decay allowing me to send to my Youshop account this makes it all the more easier. Incase you don't know about youshop let me break it down for you.
Pop on over to nzpost.co.nz sign yourself up via the Youshop tab and select where you would like your free mailbox out of the two options USA or the UK or both. After this you will then be supplied with an address.
That address is now what you enter into the shipping details of every online order you make when you intend to send it to your mailbox. Once your parcels arrives at the warehouse in which ever country selected you will be emailed asking for payment for the shipping of the goods to your front door step here in NZ. Depending what you order I have found the shipping prices to be very reasonable compared to what you would pay if you were to try and organize direct shipping yourself.
Once I have received the payment confirmation email from Youshop my package normally will only take 6-8 days. During that time Nzpost send you emails to inform you when your package is in NZ customs and when it has cleared in which case you will then know from there it should only be 2 days or so from reaching your front door.
I find youshop really reliable but the things you must remember when buying online is to treat it like when you go away overseas.
Customs rules do apply so be aware of your countries limit on how much you can buy, don't purchase liquids over 100ml and unfortunately no flammable goods so yes that cute glittery polish is going to have to wait it's turn,or in my case treat yourself to something else after all it would be rude not to.
Okay So before I wrap this up let me tell you where I have purchased some of my beloved products from ...
Limecrime: www.paganmarie.com
MAC Products www.maccosmetics.com
Michael Todd True Organics Skincare : http://www.michaeltoddtrueorganics.com/
Urban Decay : www.urbandecay.com
Nars, Stila, Benefit, Givenchy : www.sephora.com
NYX, Kardashian Beauty, Stila, Anastasia of Bevelery Hills : www.ulta.com
Real Techniques Brushes: www.iherb.com
These are just a few great places that I can think of off the top of my head, but what I like about these is most of them sell a wide variety of brands which is perfect for people on a budget or if your feeling like a big spender!
I hope this helps you understand a little more about buying online especially for NZ girls and how youshop works as I know it can be confusing! I would love to know where you like to shop online so be sure to write in the comments section below!
