So this post has been long awaited by not only myself but a lot of my followers. For 4 years I have searched around on the internet looking for somewhere that could create my dream storage. A place to call home for all of my most valued and go to cosmetics.
After looking online Ikea seemed to be the only place that had anything slightly similar to what I had imagined for myself ,but the pricing and shipping to New Zealand made me feel like I needed to hold out a little longer. I kept thinking surely someone would see the gap in the market for a great opportunity here in New Zealand and then my dreams were answered when Kabukibelle made their appearance into the market.
KabukiBelle was created by Wendz, a fun ,cosmetic savvy kitchen joiner from New Zealand whose dream to fulfil the wishes of makeup hoarders like myself has finally been actioned. Being the first official customer of Kabukibelle since the brand launched I was more than excited in having my very own completely custom made unit created.
I chose this option as I like everything to have a place and after waiting years to have the opportunity for my idea to be taken from paper to real life I was more than happy to front the cost to have exactly what I have longed for. Although I feel no unit will ever be big enough to keep up with my addiction it is nice to know majority of my collection now has it's very own safehaven.
The process of creating my storage was a fun ride, daily emails (and there were alot of them) pictures, measurements and ideas were thrown about on a regular basis as Wendz wanted to make sure it was 100% as requested. Her dedication, loyalty, passion and time was put to the test with weather, courier delays and her own personal illness but this didn't stop her from sticking to her word and love for her job in keeping to deadlines, ensuring I was happy the whole way through.
Although sometimes Wendz probably thought I was the blondest person to walk this earth not knowing what certain finishes or boards used to actually put the unit together were she kept her cool and remained professional the whole way through. Sending me through pictures regularly so I could imagine what on earth she was even talking about for myself haha!
Custom made storage comes with a price, this is due to everything down to design, colour, extras and anything in between being decided by the buyer. Kabukibelle will also be offering premade units where the cost will be as a whole for the designs on offer.
In my case I had an original design put into place down to every exact inch. From my custom brush holders within short reach from where I sit daily, to my inserts being created to fit certain products and even wheels to make for easy movement when I have clients. We also had measurement restrictions to work within of where my unit would finally sit so we had to be realistic on how much product it would hold.
After all of Wendz hard work I am now more than chuffed to have my very own custom made storage even after the struggle of getting it actually into my house with it weighing 100kg before any product was loaded. With now only awaiting the glass top to make my new best friend complete I know this will forever be my pride and joy. What makes it even more special is the creation and journey of my dream has created an amazing friendship between Wendz and myself, in which I will forever be grateful for.
I cannot recommend Kabukibelle more than anything on this earth, it is worth every minute and every cent to have Wendz create you, your very own piece of happiness that I know will last you forever.
