When I think of my passion, which of course is the world of makeup I often think about those whose inspire my own personal creativity the most. My Q&A today is with someone who defines just that. Her work is bright, her attitude is colourful and her skill is out of this world crazy good!
Starrly Gladue is an artist whose career will keep you on your toes. Her daily posts ooze with passion and inspiration in which, I need not to mention the slight envy you will feel over how flawlessly stunning she is.
Being a fellow MAC artist like myself she of course is still devoted to being apart of the MAC culture and it's clear to see how talented she truly is with a brush in her hand. Not only that but she's also a Beauty Blogger too ! You can find all of her links to prettiness below!

So before I babble on too long about how much I idolise this beauty, let me introduce you all to the ever so amazing Starrly Gladue ♥
Starrly welcome to Paintedlips !, Tell us a little about yourself and how you began your career in beauty?
I'm a freelance makeup artist and I've been in the industry for almost 5 years now. When I was 18 I packed up everything and took off to Vancouver (Canada) to attend makeup school. I was pretty much completely new to it, I barely even knew how to do a smokey eye lol. But I fell in love with makeup artistry and continued to stick with it, I can't picture myself doing anything else.
Your work is absolutely flawless, have you ever had any favourite faces that you love to work on?
Thank you! I've worked on so many gorgeous faces so it's hard to just pick a few. But I love light blue/green eyes, so I get excited when I get to play up pretty eyes.
Right now I'm really loving Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade which is perfect for defined brows. Toofaced chocolate soleil bronzer is what I've been using for contouring and it smells soo amazing.
NYC liquid liner has been my go-to and is very inexpensive! I'm also obsessed with MAC lipsticks, my favorite spring colors are candy yum-yum and relentlessly red.
Having the right tools always makes a difference, what brushes would you use the most within your kit..
MAC brushes are my absolute favorite for eye makeup. I can't live without the #217 for blending eyeshadow, #228 for shading in darker colors in the crease and under the eye, and #263 for brows!
I use all 3 everyday and always on clients. As for foundation I use Sephora #45 brush which blends and layers foundation nicely.
It would have to be that I'm able to explore my creativity and do basically whatever I want. Some days I do natural/simple looks but I like that I have the option to play with bright color, crazy lashes, and glitter just because I feel like it!
and last but not least with big makeup trends starting to take form, what would you love to see more of..
I love anything bold and bright, so it would be cool to see more bright pops of color and dramatic liner! I also love flawless, dewy glowing skin.
Thankyou so much for your time Starrly , it has been a honour having you here on my blog, don't forget to follow Starrly so you too can be apart of her bright bold world.
