Today's post is super exciting as it's in collaboration with the ever so beautiful Chelsea Hay! You can check out her Youtube video featuring some of this collection by clicking the link ♥ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6Z98gBcAeo
From every inch of lilac to the depths of colour held within- this collection it is sure to woo your mind, body and soul. When MAC announced this collaboration, I wasn't sure at all what to expect, with Kelly and Sharon's quirky personalities it led the mind into a world full of fun possibilities.
But when sneak peaks of the collection started to appear, the excitement began to build as I added to my list each item that would be a compulsory buy. I brought majority of the full collection, but I must admit my heart was instantly attracted to the products held within Kelly's range.
I found her products more appealing colour wise as I'm obsessed with all things bright, so I knew I had to get my hands on all of the lipsticks at the very least. It's safe to say my self control went out the window when the collection became live as I found myself adding 2's,3's and 4's of most items.
This collection exceeded all of my expectations, and I am soo happy with every single purchase I made. I think MAC and the Osbourne ladies did a great job in portraying their personalities through the beautiful products, and with quirky names to tell a story of each item it's a 10/10 in my mind!
This is a two part post with swatches and looks being loaded tomorrow and my review of Sharon's collection will be up in a couple of days,so in the mean time sit back, relax and unwind into the beauty that lies within the MACOsbourne Kelly collection...
*On Counters in NZ/Aus August 2014 *
L-R Strip Poker, Riot House, Kelly Yum-Yum and Dodgy Girl
Let me start in no particular order of course because having favourites would be rude ;) .....but ohhhh holy lipsticks, I am completely and utterly madly in love with everything about this little bunch of happiness. Four unique shades beautifully packaged and created with delicious formulas to match what more could you want?
I can safely say that I will be going back for more the moment these release in NZ. They are out of this world amazing and it is just way to hard to even like one shade better than the other. All so wearable, playful and fun the perfect remedy to shape up your pout whether your in Summer, Winter, Autumn , Spring these are an essential for your look.
Ahhh whose a "Cheeky Bugger" this blusher is super pretty. The perfect rose tone to make those cheeks pop! I love this almost, if not more than my MAC fave Fleur Power. I think this would look great on all skintones too as it has a nice depth too it, and the colour pay off is pretty impressive.
Gone are the days of dull flat skin, the Kelly skinfinish in "Jolly Good" has to be one of my most used items right now. This is great for light skinned ladies like myself who want that subtle glow with a hint of peachy pink to sit upon those apples. This adds the finishing touch to any look and I think I'll be going back to buy more just quietly!
Jumbo Penultimate makes eyeliner easy. Think of a felt tip pen only in cuter packaging! This is great for girls on the run with a precise tip that allows you to get right into the lashline. The staying power is really impressive and the shade stays a true black all day long - no need to worry about that day fade with this little cutie.
Brow Duo "Morning Mister Magpie" - This is a slightly unusual brow duo if i'm honest this has been gracing my eye lids more than my brows. Why? Due to the lighter shade being one of my most used MAC neutrals "Soba" I feel its better suited on the lid with it's defined sheen. The deeper shade Brun has been used on my brows a few times, and I liked the finish as it's not completely matte so it adds a little texture to the brows.
Flat Buffer Brush 183SE ahhh I wish I brought more than one! It was so hard to actually use this as it's just so pretty. The creamy white bristles glide across your face perfectly, making a flawless face super easy to achieve. I like that it's small in size so you can get right in there to those spots that normally prove a little difficult.
219SE Pencil Brush, as a lover of all MAC brushes I just had to buy this. The 219 is one of my HG MAC brushes so when I saw it not only came in travel size but also dressed in the Lilac prettiness I was sold! This brush is great for applying shadow to the lower waterline/lower lid, it's super precise and easy to use making it a fool proof purchase.
Last but not least the "Bloody Brilliant" eye quad has been swept across my lids many times since it became part of the family and it has been received with open arms. I love the mixture of shades that make the quad lots of fun to play around with. There are no limits with this rad bunch so if you are looking to purchase a bit of eye candy with a pop of colour, this is a great option.
Swatches and looks created with the above products will be posted onto the blog tomorrow night so stay tuned for more eye candy! x
