So I have to admit I have tried many eyeshadow primers but have only ever found the likes of Smashbox and Urban Decay to work any wonders for me, that was until I had the chance to try out the Limecrime Eyeshadow Helper.
I picked up mine for $29 NZD from www.paganmarie.com, it is honestly one of the best eye products I think I have ever purchased. It makes the application of your shadow super easy and smooth no matter whether it's cream or powder based.
For the best results I like to apply my foundation all over the face, then make sure my lid and surrounding eye area is 100% dry by buffing translucent powder over the top to set. I then apply a very minimal amount of the eyeshadow helper onto the lid and to my lower lid line and follow with my shadow of choice.
I love the way this product enhances the texture and vibrancy of the eyeshadow applied. It makes some of the most iridescent shades appear to have more pigment behind them allowing for them to be worn alone when normally without a primer I would need to mix a few shades to get the main colour to be seen.
Overall this is a really great item to have within your collection, it's versatile and will allow you to use those shadows that haven't been used due to the colour pay off not being what you had hoped. This is also great for using as a base when applying loose pigment type products as it gives great stick and shows the colours true to what they really are.
I highly recommend this to those looking for something to prep their lids and also for those who struggle with oiliness or creasing around the eye area, it really has worked wonders for me.
I tried to find the lightest shade I could to show you the difference, the top is MAC Shroom swiped twice without the Eyeshadow Helper, the bottom is Shroom swiped twice on top of a thin layer of the Eyeshadow Helper.
