Makeup Swap - Germany ♥

Recently I was lucky enough to do a makeup swap with my lovely friend all the way from Germany. Madeleine is a Youtube Beauty Guru, and has the most impeccable taste when it comes to all things beauty.

Like myself Madeleine loves a great beauty item or two so it was only natural for the both of us to want to go wild on anything we could get our hands on. We didn't set a budget and I think we both did really well as to how it evened out.

When it comes to Makeup Swaps it's very exciting getting to try out products that aren't easily accessible from your own country, it allows you to explore new colours and trends which is always a bonus. Makeup swaps are something I think you should only do with someone you trust, there is so many people around that are just in it for what they can get so unfortunately you do have to be careful and aware of scammers.

My advice for a swap would be to set a budget within your means, allow for the cost of shipping as it can be quite expensive and always make sure you get to know your buddies style. Take a look at their social accounts of looks they tend to wear and  think about their personality as it makes it so much easier in knowing what angle to take while your out shopping.

I had heaps of fun buying for Madeleine there were a few MAC items that she mentioned she would like to try so I made sure I picked those up for her as I knew she would get a lot of use out of them. I  treated her to some of the MAC Osbourne range also because she hadn't had the chance to get her hands on anything and since I love it so much it was only too fitting.

My box from Madeleine was so well thought out and literally blew me away, each item was individually wrapped with sticky notes attached to an array of items with cute little messages as a hint to what lay beneath the wrapping. This was such a lovely touch and made it all the more exciting.

The items she purchased for me were mainly European drugstore brands which I loved as I had wanted to try quite a few of the products for quite some time now. Amongst my goodies were brands such as Catrice and P2 Cosmetics, I am so impressed with the quality of these items even right down to the packaging.

Even though Madeleine lives in Germany I love to watch her videos, her style is savvy and always on point plus I'm slowly learning some German bonus!. Although none of her videos are in English it's great because you really get to focus on her application skills. I have been trying to convince her to produce some videos in English as I know they would be a hit so stay tuned ;)

This was such a great experience and I look forward to continuing our little makeup swaps in the future. Stay tuned for my review post coming soon where I talk about each item she sent me to reveal the beauty within it all.♥
